Chris Douglas

Chris Douglas is founding partner and managing director of C.H. Douglas and Gray Wealth Management. An eighth generation Hoosier, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and his Master’s in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He was decorated for his service as an officer in the US Air Force and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Chris has been named by Indianapolis Monthly to its “Best of Indy” list in the area of financial planning, by the Indianapolis Business Journal to its “Forty under 40” list of influential people in business, and to the Indiana Leadership Forum. In 2010 he received the Indiana leadership Forum’s Founders Award for Achievements in Business. He has been named to Indianapolis Monthly’s list of “Five-Star Wealth Managers” every consecutive year from 2008 through 2016, a designation awarded each year to the top 7% of those scored by respondents in a scientific survey of clients and peers.
A member of the Board of Advisors of Dance Kaleidoscope, Indiana’s premier professional contemporary dance company, Chris serves also on the Finance Commitee of the Indiana Historical Society, one of the United States’ oldest and largest historical societies. He is a member of the Columbia Club and the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, and he sits on the Indiana Advisory Committee of the US Commission on Civil Rights.
Tom Gray, CFA

Thomas Gray is a managing director at CH Douglas & Gray, LLC and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Thomas was raised in Indianapolis and graduated from North Central High School. He attended Northwestern University and earned his PhD from Princeton University in German Literature and Philosophy.
After graduate school, he worked for five years on Wall Street as an international equities analyst, mostly covering companies that had issued American Depository receipts (ADRs). He began his Wall Street tenure with Dean Witter in the World Trade Center. From there, Thomas moved to Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (investment banking arm of Deutsche Bank) and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. In 1998, Thomas earned his CFA designation.
In 2000, Thomas and his wife Kindra returned to their Midwestern roots, moving back to Indianapolis. They have two children, Taylor (age 10) and Elliot (age 7), who attend the Orchard School. Kindra is the Director of Development at the IUPUI University Library.
In 2010, Thomas, too, was named Indianapolis Monthly’s “Five Star Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager.” In addition to managing clients’ portfolios, Thomas has also consulted with numerous local businesses on financial and strategic considerations and has been involved in helping several local businesses raise growth capital.
Tom Gray and Chris Douglas have known each other since they were classmates in middle school.
Doris J. Roberts

Ms. Roberts supports the firm’s work in administrative capacities associated with scheduling; client service; opening and transferring accounts; managing the firm’s technical interface with account custodians and our Morningstar record keeping platform; trading; rebalancing; insurance; and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Ms. Roberts’ career in the securities industry began in 1994. Her operational experience in regulatory compliance, sales, human resources, and financial management includes work for MetLife/New England Securities and Prudential Insurance Company of America. In addition to her involvement in Brokerage and RIA firms, Ms. Roberts held senior financial operations positions in business consulting, Indiana State Government and Boeing Corporation.
Ms. Roberts received a Bachelor of Sociology from Indiana University-Bloomington and a Master of City & Regional Planning with emphasis in Public Finance and Management from Harvard University. She is an Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Principal, Financial Operations Principal, and a Registered Investment Advisor Representative (FINRA Series 26, 27, 7, 63, 65). She holds Indiana Life/Accident and Health licenses.
Ms. Roberts is a former Board Member and Treasurer of Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) in Central Indiana.
Jonathan Cracraft

As C.H. Douglas & Gray’s Director of Client Services, Jonathan ensures that the asset management, risk management and financial planning divisions work together to achieve maximum value for each client. A native of Indianapolis, he holds Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Anthropology and graduated cum laude from Indiana University and Macalester College.
Jonathan began in finance as an investment advisor and registered representative for Ameritas Investment Corp. Before joining C.H. Douglas & Gray he was MassMutual’s Agency Director of Financial Planning for Indiana and Illinois.
